"If you're on the hunt for snack bars that actually taste as good as they sound, look no further... these bars totally hit the spot. I highly recommend trying all three!

Find a bar as good as ours.
You can't.

Unbeatable Nutrition

Even among snack bars marketed as "real", there are many unhealthy, artificial ingredients to be found. Notably, most bars contain a form of syrup: brown rice syrup (GoMacro, Made Good), inverted cane syrup (Made Good), glucose syrup (Kind). These syrups often have not been adequately researched and contribute significant added sugars.

Below is a table contrasting Tasty Truths against leading "healthy" snack bar brands. The green highlight indicates the top two bars in each category. Note that the Tasty Truths Everything Bar leads in all categories!

Beyond the numerical quantities of these macromolecule nutrients, we also lead in the quality of our ingredients--we utilize only natural, wholesome ingredients because we believe they provide the best overall nutrition.

Protein Powder

Protein

Not all proteins are created equal. The almonds, flaxseeds, hemp seeds, and chia seeds found in our bars all contain combinations of natural bioactive compounds that work synergistically in a way that a highly isolated derived proteins cannot. Thus, each gram of protein from a natural source is likely to do more in terms of muscle building and overall health.

Fiber

Derived fibers, similarly to derived proteins, are highly processed and thus lack naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, and other compounds that enhance the role of fiber alone. Bars with derived fiber also often rely on solely soluble or insoluble fiber, which can cause digestive issues in sensitive individuals.

Sugar alcohols & non-sugar sweeteners (ie stevia, monkfruit)

While sugar alcohols don't appear on the nutrition label as added sugar, the WHO advises against consuming them as a tool for weight control. Many artificial sugars, even more natural ones like monk fruit or stevia extract, are heavily understudied. But out of existing research, they have been linked to type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, and mortality in adults.

A Bar for Everyone

The best taste is a taste that can be enjoyed by everyone. That is the principle behind our mission to spread nutritional access and literacy through donations to local shelters (see our "about us" page for more).

Additionally, our bars are all vegan, gluten-free, and peanut-free.

Organics and Sustainability

Organic produce contains ~20-69% more antioxidants (vitamin C, carotenoids) and micronutrients (calcium, magnesium, iron).

Importantly, organic farming promotes soil health, releases significantly less greenhouse gas emissions--organic farmers rely on organic sources of fertilizer rather than synthetic fertilizers--and reduces water pollution, enabling ecosystems and human communities to thrive.
